OR Soft Jaenicke GmbH is a software and consulting company located in Merseburg, Germany. The company was founded in 1990 from two research groups focusing on "process engineering" and "optimization" fields at Merseburg’s technical college. As of July 2008, there are 55 full-time employees. The founder of the company has been working with and providing solutions to optimization problems in industrial enterprises since 1969.
The letters "OR" in the company´s name stand for Operations Research. OR Soft develops and implements profitable and ambitious solutions for complex planning challenges that are developed from a solid knowledge of optimization problems. OR Soft Jaenicke GmbH has worked with more than a quarter of the enterprises listed in the DAX (German stock market index) and has successfully completed 200+ projects in the field of production planning and optimization.
At the beginning, OR Soft was specialized in the Chemical and Pharmaceutical industries. In the late 1990´s we also started to provide solutions to other industries including: Manufacturing, Automotive, and Oil and Refineries. OR Soft Jaenicke GmbH provides business solutions to international clients from numerous countries including: Austria, Belgium, France, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand and the United States of America.
